Est. 1999 Version 7.1.0
We had a great primary class today. The lesson was entitled The Birth of Jesus Christ Brought Joy to the Earth and we decided to have the kids reenact Luke 2:8–18. It was soooooo fun and funny. We put towels on the heads of the shepherds, played by Tallon and Jack. We put one of Brother Darin’s white t-shirts on Emma, who played the angel. We wrapped one of Sister Liz’s beautiful scarves around Iris, for her role as Mary, and put one of Brother Darin’s brown t-shirts over Zane, who played Joseph. We wrapped Timmy in a towel and he laid down on the floor in front of Iris and Zane. Brother Darin taped a big shiny gold star on the wall several feet above Mary and Joseph’s heads. It was classic.
Sister Liz sat with the shepherds while Brother Darin lifted Emma into the air to simulate an angel appearing to the shepherds. Without prompting Emma shouted “I am an angel”. Sister Liz and the shepherds pretended to be afraid. “Do not be afraid” continued Emma, “Jesus is born”. Sister Liz and the shepherds then asked “where can we find him?”. Emma (who was still being suspended in mid air by Brother Darin) responded by pointing her tiny little arm & finger towards the star on the wall, and said “follow the star”. As the shepherds stood up to walk towards the star Iris exclaimed “I have to go potty!!” and the lesson was over.
We consider this to be a successful primary class.

LOL.
I love it. I so wanted to email every parent the awesome things each kid said at every moment of the lesson after I subbed for you guys it was so cute and awesome. Then I forgot a lot of it by the time I got home.
A+ for creativity brother and sister Jensen!

I officially have a crush on both of you. You both are poetic geniuses (or is that genii?). I’m honored to be a sidebar on your blog. Thanks for sharing.
