Est. 1999 Version 7.1.0
Today was our debut as Sunbeam teachers. A bit terrifying actually. We had only taught the six year olds for a few months and had finally gotten a clue about what they can do. Now we have six little three year olds who will turn four in 2008. Needless to say we read all the “what a three/four year old can do” notes in our manual. Can three year olds color? Go potty by themselves? We have much to learn.
The following was a highlight from the surprisingly peaceful class.
Sister Liz - “Jesus loves each of us and wants us to be happy. Playing with my brothers and sisters makes me happy. When I got baptized I was really happy too! What makes you happy?”
While other students chirped out “playing with my baby brother!” and “Pirates!,” This little girl calmly waited her turn and then said, “Flying in an airplane to Hawaii.”
Um… yes. That would make me happy too. Good answer Iris.

Liz & Darin,
I just found your site again. We are so happy that Iris has you two as her teachers. What a great blessing for us. Maybe she’ll bring you back something.

Fifteen? Is that allowed? I loooooove our sunbeams, but I just can’t imagine teaching that many six-year-olds. That’s why I teach high school!
