Late for Work

27 Jul 2007 In: Uncategorized

Bart was nine minutes late arriving at San Francisco’s Embarcadero Station this morning. I thought by some stroke of luck the PresidiGo shuttle would still be waiting when I reached the top of the stairs, but it was just pulling away (itself four minutes late). I guess the stars were aligned against me this morning. I hate being late for work! . Boooooooo!

Yan’s China Bistro Chinese Food

If you’re ever in Walnut Creek and have a hankering for Chinese food then you have to try Yan’s China Bistro. Liz and I loved it. The wonton soup was the best I’ve had in years (certainly the best in Walnut Creek), the spicey orange chicken melted in my mouth, and Liz swooned over the mango fish - a house specialty. To top it off, the service was impeccable - we gave a 25% tip. Highly recommended.

The wind is in full force today. There are white caps on the bay and almost nobody at the beach save a few die hard dog walkers. There are two crows squawking next to me undoutedly annoyed I don’t have any food for them. The Golden Gate Bridge is shrowded in a mist of fog and cloud. A lone sailboarder just walked past me en route to the water - he’s a brave soul.

Alcatraz looks like a fortress majestically perched in the center of the bay. It’s hard to imagine what it must have been like to be incarcerated there.

Not too many bikers out today. The sun turns off and on with every turning of the clouds. Time for me to go back to work..
