Est. 1999 Version 8

We got Comcast high speed internet today and I must say I’m impressed. The advertised speed we’re supposed to get is 8000 kb/s with bursts of up to 12000 kb/s.
However, as you can see the throughput we’re getting is much higher. Not bad for $33/month (intro price).

yeah, just wait until you really get your bill. It’ll be something like $57. With tons of stupid little charges that they don’t tell you about even though you’ll ask when you sign up exactly what your bill will be. They’re also sneak in things that you didn’t sign up for, like super duper cable with 5 million channels that you would never sign up for because you never watch tv. They have a monopoly on the world!!!!! ARGH!!!!!

Amen girl!
We’ll see what happens. If there are any surprises we’ll just put Darin on the job. He’s pretty adept at getting things like this worked out.
I, however, would receive the lashing and no matter how much I raged and reasoned would end up saying, “thank you, may I have another?”

I think you are talking about Dish Network. Why do I still own one? Because I actually OWN my own receiver. Hate them. Own the technology… ARG. I will experience the pain again, when it comes down to BluRay, etc. Sigh. Over and over and over again.
