Est. 1999 Version 8
From today’s ward bulletin of the Cincinnati East Stake Milford Ward:
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle’s flight,
Then God combined these qualities,
There was nothing more to add,
His masterpiece was now complete,
He lovingly called it Dad.
And just received from Ross:
“I Follow a Famous Father”
?I follow a famous father,
His honour is mine to wear;
He gave me a name that was free from shame,
A name he was proud to bear.
He lived in the morning sunlight,
And marched in the ranks of right.
He was always true to the best he knew
And the shield that he wore was bright.
?I follow a famous father,
And never a day goes by
But I feel that he looks down to me
To carry his standard high.
He stood to the sternest trials
As only a brave man can;
Though the way be long, I must never wrong
The name of so good a man.
?I follow a famous father,
Not known to the printed page,
Not written down in the world’s renown
As a prince of his little age.
But never a stain attached to him
And never he stooped to shame;
He was bold and brave and to me he gave
The pride of an honest name.
?I follow a famous father,
And him I must keep in mind;
Though his form is gone, I must carry on
That name that he left behind.
It was mine on the day he gave it,
It shone as a monarch’s crown,
And as fair to see as it came to me
It must be when I pass it down.
Happy Father’s Day to Grandpa, Ross & Paul, Dustin, Russell, Matt, Will, & Paul Burton.

Just idle-ing through your pictures and script. Liz, you are a philosopher without a doubt–thanks for the good thoughts. So very disturbed that you lost your belongings. When Steve, Ron and Rex picked up Burt from his mission in Austria they did some touring. In England they experience a robbery of their car taking their wonderful purchases of their travels. Sad o -dear. It does happen. aaaugh!!! Is that the word?
I am beyond awesome to know you are my beauitful relative. Love you lots, and happy 4th of July. Where is home now? Aunt Janny
