Now that my trip is one day from being over I have finally found an internet cafe. I’m in Port Douglas at an ice cream place that looks like a Baskin Robbins but in fact is called Wendys. But no hamburgers here. Just ice cream and internet.

Today I took an outer barrier reef tour called Aristocat. It was awesome. The weather was not so awesome (cloudy and a bit of rain) but what was awesome is the boat stopped at three different reef sites. I snorkeled for almost three hours (one hour at each site) and saw giant clams, tons of colorful tropical fish, a lot of what looked like broccoli salad (coral I guess), sea cucumbers, star fish, and more broccoli salad. I hired a wet suit for 5 bucks but forgot it didn’t cover the back of my legs so they are burned - ouch! No matter - I had the time of my life. The Aristocat tour bus picked me up at Sea Temple Port Douglas (my hotel - it’s posh!) at 8am and returned me at 4.30pm. It was a long day but honestly so so great. I highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Port Douglas and is interested in snorkeling. Oh, and the best part is it cost me a whopping $35 instead of $159 + $22 fuel surcharge. I simply told them I was a tour operator and asked for a discount. Right on!
