I have many things to blog about. Like the whole summer. But that will have to wait till this weekend.

Todos Santos Plaza in Concord, CA is our new crush. We’ve gone the last few Thursday evenings to browse the farmer’s market, eat dinner and listen to the live music. One week Mom and I got elote, roasted corn on a stick dipped in cream/mayonnaise, covered in grated cheese and sprinkled with chili powder. I love elote!! Darin and I have since sampled the turon, chicken rolls, teriyaki chicken, and bolani slathered in garlic mint cheese and jalapeƱo jelly. Ok, I sampled most of those. Darin offered excellent moral support and comic relief.

Tonight we brought our chairs and ate funnel cake while listening to the Tee Fee Swamp Boogie Band belt out “Hot Tamale Baby” to an adoring crowd. Folks from all walks of life and ethnicities were picnicking with their families, dancing around and throwing Frisbees. It is the best way to spend a Thursday night.

It was so fun that Darin forgot all about the skin on his hands and face that had burned off the night before. See, last night my wonderful wonderful man cleaned the bathtub with Kaboom! but couldn’t find any gloves, so he did it with naked fingers and thumbs. An hour later he was really feeling it. He had Kaboomed himself.
