Est. 1999 Version 8
Four other teachers and myself just got back from a three day/two night trip to Vancouver with 37 eighth graders. It was soooooo fun! The weather was perfect, surprisingly. Our itinerary was largely like this: stop at a park and play, eat, stop at another park and play, eat, stop at a pool and play, eat, watch a movie, eat. It was AWESOME. This first photo is of a statue in the Peace Arch Park in Washington on the border with Canada.
The second photo is just outside the Vancouver Jericho Beach Hostel, the place we stayed. We made ice cream on the beach and played sumo wrestling, flung around the frisbee (the school is seriously into ultimate frisbee), and “toss each other from the log” games.
We also went to Lynn Canyon. We crossed the cool suspension bridge and wandered through mossy trees and past waterfalls.
The last picture was taken downtown right before we went for Thai food. There are bears all over the downtown area and this one was called “Darth Bear.”
