Est. 1999 Version 7.1.0
This is at Grandpa’s house. He has all kinds of funny items like this one. For example, he has a mobile phone hands-free system that consists of a huge rubber band that holds your phone against the side of your head.

Will & kids at the pancake breakfast.
This is the whole town lined up waiting for pancakes and sausages.
This is Darin & Grandpa at the pancake breakfast. You can see the back of Grandma’s head in the foreground.
Darin with high school friends Kari & Tisha at the pancake breakfast.
Team roping at the Raymond Stampede Rodeo.
Liz & Willy enjoying the rodeo. The stands aren’t very filled because this is the preliminaries (translation: no charge to watch). The real rodeo was two days later and was not free.
Raymond Stampede rodeo grounds.
Darin & Liz with a RCMP Mountie in full traditional uniform at the July First Town Program.
Liz & Darin visiting with cousin Sarah.
Grandpa competing in the Raymond Senior Scooter Race before the parade. Go Grandpa!
Mom & Dad leading the parade in Greg’s convertible. Very stylish!
Another shot of mom & dad leading the parade.
Darin & Liz enjoying the parade.
Grandpa, Dixon, Uncle Scott, Adam, Wendy & Darin enjoying the parade.
More of the gang enjoying the parade.
Grandma looking pretty in pink.
Liz at the parade. She can’t remember the last time she had this much fun. In fact, she wonders if we shouldn’t leave the city and move to the small town.
Spirit of Alberta Marching Band from Magrath. Shea this is for you!
Will’s family post-parade. The kids hauled in the candy!
Liz is a natural cowgirl. I think she may give up her day job to ride full-time.
Big Will & Little Will riding.
Dad, Adam, Liz, & Dixon enjoying the shade on the deck.
Grandpa & Liz playing with little kitties at the farm.
Darin & Grandpa post-rook. Darin came in dead-last. Grandma won. Check out the granary bird feeders behind us that Grandpa made. Very cool & nostalgic since all the Raymond granaries are long gone (torn down years ago).
Dixon & Willy. Nice shiner Dixon! Willy has no remorse!
Making s’mores in the back yard fire pit lead by Wendy. Dad had never had a s’more before! The trees have really grown in the 20 years since we planted them.

Your parade reminds me of celebrating the 4th of July in Malad, ID and taking in the rodeo in Afton, WY. What happened to Dixon’s eye?

I wasn’t present when it happened, but apparently the young fellow with Dixon in the picture, my nephew Willy, head-butted Dixon and the result was the beautiful shiner.

Those are great. I love the small town parades because you really get a good candy haul.
