The Tour Specialist applies destination knowledge, first-hand travel experience, sales expertise, customer service and project management skills to manage the full spectrum of custom travel arrangements including client consultation, itinerary development, pricing, reservations, service and operations.

Qualifications:

  • Organized; strict attention to detail
  • Self starter (and finisher)
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, problem solving and time management skills
  • Able to effectively juggle multiple tasks and priorities and meet constant deadlines in a very fast-paced, changing environment
  • International travel experience in Russia is required; experience with Central Asia, Central/East Europe or China extremely helpful
  • Excellent interpersonal skills allowing for diplomatic interaction with a diverse range of clients, vendors and colleagues
  • Sales experience
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal administrative support
  • Experience with Mac OSX and FilemakerPro database
  • Some knowledge of Russian language a plus
  • Previous experience with SABRE (or other) airline reservation system extremely helpful
