I received an email from my dad tonight thanking me for the Christmas gifts we sent him. I scratched my head and thought it odd that he would be thanking me now since it’s been two weeks since Christmas. So I logged into Meebo and I had the following exchange with my dad:
[22:07] Darin: when did you get the christmas presents
[22:13] Ross: came in the mail today
[22:13] Darin: you are kidding
[22:14] Darin: we paid extra to guarantee delivery before christmas
[22:14] Ross: nope…first time we’ve seen them…today
[22:14] Darin: unbelievable
[22:14] Ross: they must have gone via Tokyo
[22:14] Darin: i’m sorry they took so long
Liz paid extra and was assured by the USPS (they get no link from us) that the package would arrive in Canada before Christmas. Maybe they meant Christmas 2007…
